First Day Cottage Walpole

It's only been a week and there has been significant progress.  The roof has started to go up to protect the decking below and the short section which will be the office and master bedroom has floor joists now. We've chosen our metal roof color: Charcoal .  As soon as I can get a sample of exterior spruce I will test out some sample of solid stain.    

I drove out to the site this week and what to my wondering eyes did appear!  Mike had started the decking on the middle section and by today the bents were up!  It is great to get up on that first level and see the sights.  It's going to be great. The view from down under.  It is so pretty that it is too bad we have to put the radiant tubing up there.

After five months we finally got electric service.  Now hopefully construction can begin soon. Our new pole is now functional The boys sitting in the studio.  They will be more excited when there are walls and a roof!  We took a long walk around the whole property and they were pleased to find piles of deer poop in their soon to be new yard.
